Today is your day Boomer! Or it may be tonight......something I recommend you try is a night-time snow hike or snowshoe! Pile on some extra clothes and touque lamps and head out to an area that is white and sparkly. You will be amazed at the winter wonderland atmosphere and the energy you feel in just a normal walkabout. And if you're lucky, it will begin to snow and, honestly, the effect is dazzling! Take some pictures, like this one showing my wife and I, but you will need to use the flash option. Boomers, let's try some different, unique adventures in our retirement. Remember,

It is backward walking and the trend-often associated with the 1980s-is making a return as grey-haired wonders, like you and I, look for new-or-newish ideas to help keep us fit! According to cbc.ca, "walking backwards has shown that there's less impact on the joints by using these different muscles — and it can increase flexibility and even help alleviate back pain." One 62-year-old Boomer says "Every time I walk, I just do a little twirl and walk backwards for a bit, and I'll do it just a few times during my walk."
