Today is your day Boomer! Actually...tomorrow is for millions of Baby Boomers across America as they go to the polls and vote in the presidential election. Unfortunately, American citizens, like Canadians, don't get too excited about voting....only about 50-60% take the time and effort to vote. To me, this is ridiculous! Here are five solid, important reasons to cast your ballot: (1)You have the power to make key decisions on the quality of life you want for yourself, your family, and your community. Voting is your chance to stand up for the issues you care about. (2)Voting was not always a right for all Americans. Every vote cast is a testament to the struggles of those who came before you, a tribute to their sacrifices, and a pledge to uphold the principles of democracy. (3)Voting is your chance to choose how your tax dollars are spent, such as additional funding for health care and social services. (4)Voting is an opportunity for change; it gives you that chance. (5)Voting isn't just a civic duty; it's a profound responsibility to represent not only yourself but also those who cannot advocate for themselves, including loved ones who depend on your voice.(altamed.org) Boomer Americans, do your job tomorrow. Yes, it is a "job". Trump vs Harris? Please take your responsibility seriously...

He showed me the supreme importance of family gatherings, how to flyfish...even when he was colour blind....how to use tools, play high-level bridge, eat organic foods, he taught me how to drive....even though I ruined the transmission on our old car....he showed me how to sail, save and invest money, have an appreciation for nature, he was a role model for me as I moved through heart/s
